Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions, alerting the healthcare team to changes.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and medical history accurately in the EHR system.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and patient needs during high-volume weekend shifts.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work rotating weekend schedules, holidays, and on-call rotations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
