Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly identifying and reporting any changes to the nursing team.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, interventions, and outcomes.
- Provide compassionate patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and assist in code blue situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as required.
