Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission and throughout the shift to ensure individualized care plans are met.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the wider healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient status, interventions, and responses to therapy.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to patient emergencies and critical care situations with composure and clinical expertise.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance activities and unit rounds to continuously improve the standard of care.
Qualifications
- License: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Maryland.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification required; CEN or similar specialty certifications a plus.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
