Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments to develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Medication Management: Accurately administer medications and treatments, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, utilizing advanced clinical judgment and life-saving techniques.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
- Patient & Family Advocacy: Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, health maintenance, and disease prevention to foster trust and compliance.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; TNCC or CEN preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates are considered with relevant rotations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate electronic health record systems efficiently.
- Professionalism: Adherence to professional standards of practice and hospital ethics and compliance policies.
