Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on physician orders and patient needs.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, discharge instructions, and post-care activities.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to provide holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; weekend shift experience is a plus.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic health records and medical software systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as needed; stand for extended periods.
