Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed therapies in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and document changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all safety and infection control regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, though new graduates are welcome.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods during shifts.
