Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and continuously assess patient conditions to detect changes and intervene promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Respond swiftly to emergent situations and code blue alerts within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- CPR (BLS) and ACLS certification required; PALS certification may be required based on unit.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, with a positive attitude.
