Responsibilities
- Compassionate Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans under the supervision of physicians and charge nurses.
- Vital Sign Monitoring: Regularly monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress to ensure stability and safety.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accurate dosages and documentation.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue situations and medical emergencies within the department.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and care continuity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, charts, and patient reports.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations may be considered.
- Availability: Must be available to work a consistent weekend schedule (Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Sunday).
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.
