Responsibilities
- Assess and Monitor: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating clinical expertise.
- Patient Advocacy: Advocate for the physical and emotional needs of patients and their families.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality assurance initiatives to enhance the standard of care provided.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, new graduates welcome to apply.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Technical Proficiency: Competency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment: Availability to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
