Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other health team members.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and patient safety.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, identifying changes in condition and responding immediately to emergencies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care for patients across all shifts.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and self-care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, assessments, and interventions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings to enhance hospital operations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Arizona.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Medical-Surgical preferred).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotate shifts as required by departmental needs.
