Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to assigned patients on weekends, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and document patient responses accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assess patient needs and provide education to patients and families regarding their condition and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, strictly adhering to hospital protocols and safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergent situations and assist with code activations as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient advocacy and quality care.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as necessary, adhering to body mechanics standards.
