Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing comprehensive physical examinations and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to interventions, escalating concerns immediately.
- Document all clinical findings, treatments, and patient progress in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in compliance with OSHA and hospital standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting (Medical-Surgical preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Availability to work a consistent weekend schedule (Saturday and Sunday).
