Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions and feeding requirements.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
