Responsibilities
- Deliver Exceptional Patient Care: Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients across all age groups during weekend shifts.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately prepare and administer medications, following strict hospital protocols.
- Clinical Assessment: Monitor patient conditions, conduct thorough physical assessments, and recognize changes in status requiring immediate intervention.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic health records (EHR) for all assigned patients.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team to ensure coordinated care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking skills to manage crises.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in California.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred; new grads welcome with strong clinical rotation.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
