Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including patient vitals, EKGs, injections, and wound care
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment
- Manage patient records and electronic health documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely appointment adherence
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate from accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current MA certification (CMA/RMA) preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR experience a plus)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to flexible shift schedules (early mornings, evenings, weekends)
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance protocols
