The Role:
As a Weekend Shift Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care during peak weekend hours. You will serve as the primary advocate for our patients, ensuring their needs are met with the utmost professionalism and empathy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Document patient care plans, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and case managers, to optimize patient recovery.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and code blue situations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an acute care or medical-surgical setting.
- Strong proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.
