Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care: Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and monitor vital signs according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document care accurately: Maintain detailed and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses to interventions.
- Ensure patient safety: Implement safety measures and infection control practices to create a secure healing environment.
- Educate patients and families: Provide clear instructions and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Respond to emergencies: Act quickly and decisively in response to medical emergencies or changes in patient status.
Qualifications
- Current RN License: Valid Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Minnesota.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS preferred based on unit.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, though new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with a strong focus on patient advocacy.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently.
