Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for a diverse patient population in a high-acuity setting.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, identifying changes and intervening appropriately.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing interventions and patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including OSHA, JCAHO, and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and rotating holidays.
