Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and patient billing information
- Maintain sterile compounding areas and adhere to safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Utilize pharmacy software for record-keeping and prescription processing
- Assist with prescription verification and medication reconciliation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- No prior pharmacy experience required – we train!
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Must obtain NYS Pharmacy Technician certification within 90 days of hire
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
