The Role
As a Weekend Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care during critical off-peak hours. You will collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond immediately to any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
