Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and formulate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, initiating emergency response protocols immediately when necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to optimize patient recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record system.
- Provide compassionate patient education and support to families and caregivers.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Virginia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred, though strong new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities during weekend shifts.
