Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs during shifts.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Respond immediately to medical emergencies and critical changes in patient status.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families regarding discharge planning and ongoing care instructions.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the District of Columbia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
