Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient assessment, monitoring, and care coordination during weekend shifts
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge protocols
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and weekend shift team huddles
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with calm, decisive action
Qualifications
- Current California RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience in weekend shift environments
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with relevant experience considered)
- Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions autonomously
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and department priorities
