Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in diverse clinical settings including hospitals, clinics, and specialized units
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician protocols
- Document patient assessments, progress, and care plans using EHR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
- Supervise LPNs and CNAs when assigned to leadership roles
Qualifications
- Active RN license in District of Columbia or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred for specialty roles)
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
