Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and treating medical conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Respond promptly to emergent situations, utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with all hospital policies and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of New Mexico.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
