Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to critical changes in condition immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Document patient care services, including assessments, treatments, and responses to care, in the electronic medical record.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maryland.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
