Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health, symptoms, and medical histories to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and preventative care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and medical records.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a plus.
