Responsibilities
- Assess patient health history and physical condition to formulate nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress to detect changes and report to the appropriate medical staff.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist with code blue events as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Masterβs degree preferred.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS (Pediatric Life Support) required for pediatric units.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Attributes: Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
