Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility policies.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social needs.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery and well-being.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS and NRP preferred based on unit.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting is strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities efficiently.
