Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment implementation.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Document all patient care activities, including assessments, medications, and shift reports, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and modify individualized care plans for optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to all hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kentucky.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
