Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by conducting thorough physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed during shifts.
