Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols and medication administration policies.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families to ensure holistic care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, therapists, and pharmacists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (EPIC preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred.
