Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records systems
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergency situations with swift intervention
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and facility-specific protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous learning activities
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license (required)
- BSN or Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 1-2 years acute care or specialty nursing experience
- BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred for ER/ICU roles)
- Proficiency in electronic medical documentation systems
- Strong communication and critical thinking abilities
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
