Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans for patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and implement life-saving interventions as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid and active New York State RN License required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients as necessary; physical stamina required for standing for long periods.
- Demonstrated ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
