Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and health status, reporting significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to nursing standards of practice.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
