Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico required.
- BSN preferred or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience.
- CPR/BLS certification (ACLS and PALS preferred depending on unit).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
