Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and formulate individualized nursing care plans based on evidence-based practice.
- Administer medications and treatments with precision, strictly adhering to all safety protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously, escalating care immediately for any changes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed to ensure unit operations run smoothly during shifts.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Georgia.
- National certification in a specialty area (e.g., CCRN, Med-Surg) is a plus but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with electronic medical record systems (EMR).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
