Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor health status to identify changes in medical conditions.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and established nursing protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities, vital signs, and treatment outcomes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free environment in accordance with hospital safety standards.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (Travel or Agency experience a plus).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
