Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and treatment plans in the electronic health record system.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care management.
- Respond to emergencies efficiently and calmly, following hospital protocols and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (New graduates encouraged to apply).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced team environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills in clinical situations.
- Candidate must pass a background check and drug screen.
