Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and responses to treatment accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and self-care management strategies.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for all patients and visitors.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
