Responsibilities
- Assess patient health issues and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care.
- Document patient care services, including assessments, treatments, and responses to therapy.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care when necessary.
Qualifications
- Current and active RN license issued by the State of Kansas.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (New graduates may be considered).
- CPR/BLS certification (ACLS required for specialty units).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
