Responsibilities
- Provide virtual companionship via video calls and remote medication reminders
- Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, meal prep) during in-home visits
- Monitor vital signs and health status using telehealth platforms
- Coordinate care plans with families and healthcare providers
- Transport clients to medical appointments (mileage reimbursed)
- Maintain accurate electronic health records
- Act as emergency contact during scheduled shifts
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable smartphone/computer with high-speed internet
- Valid driver's license and insured vehicle
- Ability to pass DC background check and TB test
- Strong communication skills for remote client interactions
- Compassion and patience working with elderly populations
