Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications following prescription orders and safety protocols
- Verify patient information and insurance details in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide exceptional telepharmacy customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for all digital communications and data handling
- Collaborate with pharmacists on medication therapy management and clinical reviews
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for remote operations
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital settings
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell, Rx30)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for virtual patient interactions
