Responsibilities
- Accurately process prescriptions and verify medication orders via remote pharmacy systems
- Provide exceptional patient counseling via telehealth platforms and phone consultations
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for prior authorizations and clinical interventions
- Maintain electronic health records and inventory management systems
- Train on-site staff on remote pharmacy protocols and technology
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and Wisconsin pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on complex medication therapy management
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license (WI PTCB registration)
- 1+ years pharmacy experience with remote work exposure preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell, Rx30)
- Exceptional attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Strong communication skills for virtual patient interactions
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with on-site teams
- Basic understanding of HIPAA compliance and telehealth regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent; PTCB certification preferred
