Responsibilities
- Accurately process and verify prescriptions through our secure digital pharmacy system
- Provide exceptional patient consultation via telehealth platforms and phone support
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records and inventory databases
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication discrepancies and clinical inquiries
- Coordinate with local Richmond pharmacies for prescription fulfillment logistics
- Implement quality assurance protocols for remote dispensing operations
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience (retail, hospital, or telepharmacy)
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Exceptional telecommunication and digital documentation skills
- Strong understanding of VA pharmacy regulations and DEA guidelines
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
