Responsibilities
- Process and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently while adhering to state and federal regulations.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure proper billing and reduce errors.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering medication questions and addressing patient concerns.
- Manage inventory levels, including checking stock, restocking supplies, and processing orders.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA privacy standards and maintain accurate electronic records.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to review prescriptions and resolve any discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Current, active PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred (new grads with internships considered).
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and basic computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
