Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen collection in clinical settings
- Process and transport specimens using HIPAA-compliant digital systems
- Conduct remote patient consultations via telehealth for pre-draw instructions
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and inventory databases remotely
- Adhere to CLIA, OSHA, and Alaska state regulatory standards
- Train patients on home collection procedures for remote monitoring
- Collaborate with lab teams through digital communication platforms
Qualifications
- Current Alaska Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and EHR systems
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Exceptional communication skills for remote patient interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with point-of-care testing (POCT) devices
- Strong attention to detail and specimen handling protocols
