Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process, label, and transport specimens to laboratory facilities
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation remotely
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with lab teams via virtual platforms for sample coordination
- Conduct preliminary specimen integrity assessments
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparations
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong remote communication skills via telehealth platforms
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid California driver's license for specimen transport
