Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures in patient homes and clinical settings
- Process and transport specimens following strict laboratory protocols
- Maintain detailed electronic health records with remote access capabilities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations
- Train patients on pre-collection procedures via virtual consultations
- Collaborate with remote medical team for patient care coordination
- Perform quality control checks on mobile phlebotomy equipment
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and EMR systems
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Exceptional communication skills for remote patient interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal onsite supervision
