Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections across assigned Detroit metro sites
- Utilize HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms for patient scheduling and pre-collection guidance
- Process and transport specimens to central lab with strict chain-of-custody protocols
- Maintain detailed electronic health records using our remote documentation system
- Collaborate with remote clinical supervisors to optimize collection protocols
- Train patients on at-home collection procedures for remote monitoring programs
- Participate in virtual quality assurance reviews and compliance audits
Qualifications
- Current Michigan Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or AMT)
- Minimum 2 years clinical phlebotomy experience in hospital or lab setting
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and remote documentation systems
- Valid CPR certification and ability to travel within Detroit metro area
- Exceptional patient communication skills for remote patient interactions
- Strong understanding of OSHA and CLIA compliance standards
- Ability to work independently while maintaining virtual team collaboration
